| Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere; I briefly searched and did not find a relevant thread: My wife's new computer runs Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit), and I've noticed that the windows processes don't show up in Starter's processes view ?? Is there any explanation for this? Because they show up fine in my Windows XP-SP3 computer; and on my wife's new PC they show up in other process viewers, such as the Process Viewer by SysInternals, and by other utilities I have installed. Only the CodeStuff Starter seems to be missing them? Thanks for any help you can give me. There should be, for example, about ten instances of the Service Host (svchost.exe) showing up in Starter's process view, but there are none! Sorted this out finally. It's because of the design how 32-bit app runs on 64-bit OS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WoW64
I never had а 64-bit OS before
But now I have Windows 7 64-bit installed 8) and hopefully will find the solution. |

| Thank you Lion, for your timely response. I was quite sure the problem was due to 64-bit environment since CodeStuff Starter works fine in all other Windows O.S. {XP, 98SE} that I've used. My wife's new computer is the first 64-bit O.S. I've had any experience with. But it looks like this is the "wave of the future" {transition from 32 to 64-bit O.S.}, much like there was the earlier transition from 16-bit to 32-bit O.S. 8) |
